Rural Ontario Medical Program

In past years, students have taken advantage of a 5 week Rural Ontario Medical Program (ROMP) core program over the summer. Family practice residents may choose training experiences varying from weeks up to 12 months in Orangeville and surrounding communities. Within the past 10 years, local family physicians have twice been recognized as "Preceptor of the Year" as voted by University of Toronto family practice residents in ROMP experiences, and Orangeville has been for years considered a coveted placement for training.
